Fire Museum Society Educational Channels

The San Antonio Fire Museum Society, in conjunction with the Fire Prevention Division of the San Antonio Fire Department, will host a variety of educational programs for students, businesses, and the public at large, in diverse areas that would most benefit the targeted audience. Once the Museum opens, we will publish a catalog listing of the programs that will be available during the year, or alternatively, will create a specific program for a targeted audience.

A Message from Our Fire Chief
When I was appointed Fire Chief for the City of San Antonio Fire Department, I eagerly accepted the task of leading one of the nation’s largest fire rescue departments. I believe strongly that the fire service plays an important role in the well being of our citizens. To be effective in this role, SAFD must continue to evolve as an organization— keeping up with firefighting trends, using the best technology, and finding more efficient and effective ways to provide service. SAFD has a renewed commitment to providing emergency services at the highest level, while doing business in a more efficient manner. I have emphasized the importance of both internal and external customer service, along with a focus on training and safety for our Firefighters. My staff and I will continue to develop new ways to meet the demands of the community, while keeping the San Antonio Fire Department on the cutting edge of fire service.
