Many people know that the entire San Antonio Fire Museum operations is handled by volunteers. At this point in the museum's history, there never has been a paid staff person. That is an amazing fact in itself. But the former fire fighters, family and friends "work" here because they are dedicated to preserving the legacy of San Antonio's firefighters and they love the people they work with.

So, to honor those volunteers who have gone way above the call of duty, the Museum board of directors held a "thank you" dinner for our volunteers. That night, we also paid tribute to those truly outstanding efforts made on behalf of the museum.
